UC 0083, Gundam GP03 Dendrobium Stamen and Orchis. Before the events of UC0083 Stardust Memory, or be more precise, before Albion entered spaceport La Vie en Rose. This Gundum evolve revealed that several people leaked information about the Gundam Development Project to the Zeon Forces because Jamitov Hymem dislikes it. Afterwards a ruined MS-14A Gelgoog is shown floating in space after a group of Gelgoog Marine Types and MS-06F Zaku II mobile suits attack the La Vie en Rose. To counter them a woman named Defrah Kar pilots the Gundam GP03 Dendrobium Stamen to destroy them. To make this easier she uses the Orchis platform and, thanks to its powerful weapons, is easily able to destroy them, and thanks to her I-field she is even able to defend herself from the attack of a large battleship. However, after the battle and while ejecting the Stamen from the Orchis, a severely damaged Gelgoog is able to shoot at the cockpit of the Stamen, killing Defrah and incidentally destroying the experimental cockpit. Afterwards the people who looked on the Gundam data examine the data of the GP04 Gerbera. This animation may explain the confusion concerning the two types of cockpits for the Stamen unit.

when all the shit went down it was classified
and only shared with upper ranking AE staff
the Mk.II and Zeta both used some of the tech from the GP01 and GP03 most notable the 360 cockpit and Zeta used the fin binders
Amuro and Char usually don’t heavily rely on there newtype powers.they Usually rely on there sheer piloting skill (with the exception of the Funnels)
I think the files were deleted because the GP line went against the treaty I also believe that Kou was sent to prison

Your question was why the Titans didn’t mass produce GP03? I think the answer is because the files of it were deleted or shelved.
I-field and bloom missile salvo are cool. Only thing i remember back then was the point blank shot from that long beam cannon that Kou delivered to Cima and that very long beam sword coming from that claw which can literally cut down those carrier ships.
I love 0083. I remember the first time watching it, (after seeing Zeta, of course) the whole time, you fall in love with these pilots, and take their sides, only to find out, that they are the first Titans. Then it hits you. <3 Gundam
Freaking awesome. 0083 was always my favorite, along with 08th MS team and 0080. GP03 by far is my favorite Gundam. Good to see all the 0083 love here
im suprised they didnt put zephyranthes,stamen,and gerbera in battle assault 1
For the most part I love the Universal Century. Gundam 0083 was great for many reasons but I loved it because the pilots didnt have special powers or overly powerful mobile suits that never took damage and/or looked like they couldn’t have the power output to spam lasers forever. GP03 Dendrobium was a very powerful Gundam because it had a mobile armor shell around it but it wasn’t invincible and its design and size looked very believable to be built and operated.
Tell me, then, what is your opinion of 00? I’m a UC fan myself but I feel, out of the various AUs, that it fares rather well.
The bad thing about seed: #1 KIRA YAMATO- the whole ‘I wont kill people it’s bad’ #2 Orb the whole neutrality policy (basically they ‘re saying “oh we won’t do anything we’ll just stand by and let the world destroy itself” – PUH-LEASE! The only reason that worked in reality is because the Swiss basically controlled most of the world’s leader’s money at the time Belgium was neutral and the nazi’s ploughe through it

You said it already. Seed and Destiny have super hero and ridiculously power MS. The MS can pretty one shot kill an entire space fleet . Then what is the point of all the struggles in those anime?
In the old timeline Universal Century, they don’t have super heros. The MS are more
“realistic” (That’s why people call it Japanese Star Trek, at least they tried to explain things) Amuro or Char in my opinion are very normal people. (Yes I know they are newtypes) But they are believable.
Well Gundam 0083 is much more less superheroistic than Seed and Destiny, after all in 13 OVA we see 3 Gundam prototypes destroyed and 1 greatly damaged, after all the director is Shoji Kawamori, Macross’ creator and i believe
that the test pilot theme was greatly used
in his next great masterpiece: Macross Plus.

Awesome. This is why 0083 was a great series: it looked cool and was actually written very well. I know they made it after Zeta, but it would have been cool to see if Uraki joined AEUG.

An awesome sequence! Talk about real life stardust memories! The wrecked Gelgoog in the opening isn’t an MS-14A, its a flash-forward to the same crippled MS-14F Marine-type that gets the shot off in the end.
UC great, but there’s many good things outside of UC as well. But yeah, some of the AUs are pretty bad. Destiny and Wing being the worst…
