		<description>Loosen dirt around the inside of the pot with a plastic knife. Gently tilt pot and grab base of stem and pull out the whole thing. Remove dirt carefully from roots. Have next pot prepared for the transplant. Needs one that allows drainage. Pebbles are good to put in the base. Add vermiculite to soil to help hold moisture. Put 
in a  plastic stake (not metal) next to the stem to give it support. Use floral tape to connect it, not a twist tie.

Orchids like humidity. It helps if you can get a small plastic green house for it, and a few other plants. Not many orchids grow much over 3 ft tall in captivity. Check your garden center for food.
